1. Web Sales Executive - Focused on success?

2. Creative Writers - Born with a magic pen?

As a copywriter at zeinxsmedia, you will work closely with art directors, designers and other copywriters to:

A. Conceive and create provocative, world-class concepts
B. Write the copy that goes with A+

These can take any number of forms including (though not limited to) Web sites, banner advertisements, direct e-mails and other online, and even offline, marketing initiatives. You need to be able to perform these functions in a professional and creative way, i.e. - you must be able to speak ad-talk, and convincingly at that. That means you're an expert at grasping communication challenges and devising imaginative solutions. You're probably also a Web junkie who knows the Net inside-out and keeps up with the leading trends in usability, online marketing and traditional advertising.

You recognize that the demand for interactive copywriters is growing. And if you've done your research, you know that a myriad of consumers spend more time on the Web than they do watching TV. You also laugh in the face of antiquated thinking and the notion that traditional ad writers get all the "good" jobs. You know better. And you write better too.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with creative team members to determine the conceptual and copy direction of our clients' online branding and advertising initiatives. Translation: check your ego at the door. We're team players here at zeinxsmedia.
• Work closely with art directors and designers to ensure copy tone and style are consistent with visual tone and style. Translation: get the direction.
  
• Interact with project teams to understand business objectives and audience demographics. Translation: the project manager is not your enemy; rather a team Sharpe.
  
• Translate creative direction and copy points from creative briefs into engaging and effective copy concepts. Translation: get what the client wants.
  
• Maintain high standards of copywriting and exercise quality control. Translation: spell correctly, please.

Required Skills:

• At least two years' experience as a copywriter in an agency environment including experience with interactive media and direct marketing. That means you've paid some dues, done some time in the trenches, had ideas shot down, had ideas lauded, but most importantly actually written real ads, brochures, Web sites, banners, etc., professionally for awhile.
  
• A keen enthusiasm for and demonstrable understanding of Web trends and technologies.
  
• Strong understanding of marketing (especially direct marketing) and advertising principles.
  
• Exceptional writing skills, including the ability to write in a range of voices and styles for varied projects with diverse audiences.
  
• Experience with strategic brainstorming, campaign development, creative brief development and creative execution.
  
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and effectively juggle diverse writing demands.
  
• Degree or diploma in English, Journalism, Communications or a related field - on the latter, argue your case. Our current practice lead is a psychology major and 5-year stockbroker. That's not simply a non-sequitur, it's an identity crisis!
